SHERRYE WILLIS

PRESENT MINISTRY
Sherrye is founder and president of Faith & Philanthropy Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization strengthening leaders, churches, and organizations to transform communities through training, consulting, and resource information. Faith & Philanthropy Institute was birthed out of obedience to God’s call to equip the faith community in how to grow effective social service outreach and empowerment for the poor and needy as well as connect to necessary resources to transform communities.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Sherrye Willis has over 20 years of experience in the philanthropic field. Her experience is broad in scope, including work in private foundations, higher education, major art institutions, non-profit management, and human resources. Prior to founding Faith & Philanthropy Institute, Sherrye worked for the Dallas Community College Foundation (DCCF) where she was the senior development director charged with developing and implementing a $32 million endowment initiative. Before resigning from DCCF, Sherrye successfully met the financial goal, raising over $10 million of the $32 million endowment scholarship within the first eighteen months. She also worked in donor development leadership positions for the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Symphony Association, and the Center for Nonprofit Management (Nonprofit Loan Center).
